Around In The Clouds

So my website is called 'Around In The Clouds' because it represents how I always have my head in the clouds. I'm always daydreaming about the latest book I've read or maybe that book I read two years ago... Now when I say I "always" have my head in the clouds- i'm really not exaggerating. 

 

You see, I am a maladaptive daydreamer (for those that don't know, that means I kind of... obsessively daydream at all times of the day.) Obviously my trigger for those daydreams are books - I literally OBSESS over books. But I find that I don't really mind - I enjoy daydreaming and even though it does interfere with everyday life sometimes, it also provides a massive relief from some pretty painful things going on in my life right now. 

 

Reading allows me to escape into entirely different and unique worlds and allows me to transform into someone new for a couple of hours every day. These words on the pages make me feel so deeply and cry and laugh and love all over these characters envisioned in my own head, which is... something pretty magical, don't you think?

 

Books can change lives and inspire someone to be a better person. Reading can heal someone and break their heart at the same time. Words on a page CAN change the world or maybe just make someone smile for the day - either one is pretty special. 

 

So that's why I always have my head 'around in the clouds'. It can be a pain in the ass sometimes - to be so invested in characters off pages. But I always view it as a blessing, to live thousands of lives. And to feel things so deeply.
