Some beautiful fanart of Lia and Rafe (or Kaden) depends who you ship... I don't judge... outloud.

This series is KILLING me with the endings! The first one was bad... but, this one was just CRUEL. Torture in its purest form, really. I would kill for the next book right now. Beware... This book picks up right were the last one left off, yay! Once again I am sucked into this fantasy world from the very first sentence and I can't be released until I reach the very last word. And then I feel murderous due to the cliff-hanger, should have expected it looking at Mary E. Pearson's history with endings but it still left me screaming (internally). This book, is just as perfect and gorgeously written and just, so freakin' good as the first one. I loved our look into Venda- it was fascinating seeing their culture and meeting the new characters we were introduced to within this country. I loved Lia's spunk when it came to the Kozimar and Kaden and pretty much anyone else who challenged her in this book. There is just the right amount of romance, just the right amount of action, just the right amount of pretty much everything to keep me turning the pages so fast I could get a speeding ticket ( if I wasn't such an anti-social dork that never left her house). The beginning, middle and end were so full of action, new discoveries, love and conflict that I just felt like exploding with happiness while I was reading it. But then I reached the ending and (GIVE ME THE NEXT BOOK!)... I cried... a lot. Rafe, my beautiful, beautiful Rafe and my soul sister Lia (just kidding, she's way more brave and clever than I could ever be). They are perfection in a couple. I want them to be happy so bad, oh god... here comes the tears again. Excuse me.
