This book has everything I love and crave for in a perfect story. The world building is incredible and the characters loveable. A princess! YAYA! A runaway princess! HOOAH! A kick-ass super cool runaway princess! YAYAYAYA! Lia is an amazing heroine who is strong-headed and in no way just another whiny, annoying teenage girl, so common in YA novels these days. She is super smart, kind and determined and I loved reading from her POV. However, this is a multi-point of view book which just makes it even more interesting to read and leads to a mind-blowing plot twist that made me go WHAATTT?! and then go back and want to read the whole book all over again. The author was so genius and evil. We have a love-hate relationship. From the get-go this book draws you in and has you squirming on the hook until the very end. The ending... how dare you Mary E.Pearson! This is one of those books that I can re-read thousands of times over and not get bored. The plot, the characters, the loooooove... I am OBSESSED (help)
Also... seriously? That ending? THAT IS NOT AN ENDING- THAT IS CLASSED AS TORTURE! This woman is the master of cliffhangers... God help us all.
